Production Manager – Industrial automation machine building.

Andrew Donald Design Engineering (ADDE) is seeking an experience production/factory manager to join our team building world-class automation and robotic systems.

ADDE specialises in the design and manufacture of advanced industrial automation and robotic systems and is active across a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, food & beverage and manufacturing with inspection, assembly, material handling, packaging and palletising equipment. We have skilled team of technicians in our machine shop, welding bays, electrical and machine build areas along with purchasing and suppler management.

We are seeking an experienced, hands on team leader to manage the always complex and varied manufacturing of our machinery. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Scheduling and planning across all production areas
  • Make and buy of components, assembly, wiring and commissioning support.
  • Purchasing and job costing through M1
  • Close liaison and relationship management with key suppliers
  • Installation and service including spare parts

We are looking for an experienced manager with the following demonstrated skills:

  • Scheduling, planning, budgeting and job costing
  • Leadership across mechanical and electrical build processes
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Team leadership with a loyal and skilled team

Mechanical Design Engineer – Industrial Automation 

Andrew Donald Design Engineering is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in sophisticated industrial automation solutions.

ADDE specialises in the design and manufacture of advanced industrial automation and robotic systems and is active across a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, automotive, material handling, packaging and palletising. We have a strong control systems and sensors capability designing both robot based solutions and special purpose machinery.

The successful applicant must be experienced integrating with these technologies, leading the design of projects from concept through to commissioning.

It is essential that applicants:

  • be a qualified Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer.
  • have at least 5 years direct experience in industrial automation design
  • be a hands-on CAD designer (we use SolidWorks)
  • have designed pneumatic and servo motion control mechanisms
  • have experience designing industrial robot based systems.
