  • Standard industrial robots frequently provide a flexible and cost-effective solution, from high speed product handling to heavy lifting and palletising. We have applied industrial robots for welding, assembly, adhesive application, palletising and sorting. We are a licensed ABB Value Provider for their  Robotics but have also applied numerous other robot solutions including Yamaha, Motoman and Denso.

  • Tooling and grippers are always a critical part of any robot-based solution. From simple vacuum pick-ups to fully integrated tooling and jigs, tools changes and adaptive grippers, we will design the gripper for the job.

  • We have developed a wide range of welding applications and can draw on standard designs and configurations to very quickly and efficiently deliver robot welding solutions. We have integrated track systems, utilised seam tracking, applied most welding technologies and worked with most materials. From a basic manual loading weld station to a fully automated transfer and assembly line, we bring the experience to address your project.

  • Dedicated actuators and servo control systems can be applied for simple positioning tasks or may be required for speed and precision. We have integrated direct drive servo systems indexing at over 6 cycles per second, linear motor and direct rotary drive actuators for speed and precision, as well as basic positioning systems for assembly operations.

  • Pneumatics continue to offer a very cost effective, reliable and increasingly capable solution in many automation tasks.

  • Hydraulics continue to be the work-horse for heavy-duty operations such as press-fitting, punching or metal working

  • The right sensors are critical to reliable operations and quality control. Detecting parts, product quality, pressure testing, strength, dimensions, barcodes or any multitude of permutations and combination, the choice of the right sensors is always critical to reliable operations of an automation system. Our experience with sensors range from the basic reed switches on pneumatic cylinders and proximity switches to high-speed bar-code readers, optical sensors and area safety systems.

  • The increasing capability and reliability along with reducing costs of vision systems are making them an increasing part of many automation systems. For orienting parts, quality control or identification, we have successfully applied vision systems from basic ‘smart cameras’ through to high-speed product inspection.

  • A common quality control requirement in the casting and injection moulding industry is pressure and vacuum testing. We have worked with most of the major brands of test equipment and can integrate testing and data reporting into your corporate traceability database.

  • The identification, sorting, routing, testing, packaging and palletising of products and materials is a common part of systems, and something we have extensive experience at. From inspecting, sorting and stacking pharmaceutical products, to routing and palletising boxes, our experience covers it.

  • We have developed conveyor systems for products ranging from small plastic parts up to large boxes. Stop-gates, speed-ups, lift-gates, merge-syncing, sort gates and diverters have all been applied to deliver cost-effective customised solutions.

  • The brain of every automation system is the control system and increasingly it is the control system that sets a system apart. It might be as simple as a PLC controller, or require high-speed processing, communications and data collection, we have delivered it. Human interfaces, product and configuration settings plus the traceability and data collection are all areas we have considerable experience in delivering.
