In this project we integrated a Domino Laser Marking unit and a vision system into a larger multi-process piece of equipment.

• In this case the plastic product is marked with batch code information and checked for optical character recognition (OCR) using a Cognex vision system.
• The marking was previously done using a stamping process which was not providing a consistent reliable process.
• Moving to the laser marking has significantly improved the quality of marking and reduced the reject rate.
• The laser controller, water chiller and fume extractor are neatly fitted within their own control cabinet providing a very neat overall machine package.
